Meet our Partner, DomSeTCO
Dominica Sea Turtle Conservation Organazation
Founded in 2007, DomSeTCO seeks to conserve Dominica's sea turtles through the direct protection of nesting beaches and providing sustainable livelihoods for coastal communities through a coordinated national conservation strategy.
With a decreasing population of nesting turtles in Dominica reducing the likelihood of a visitor observing a nesting turtle, tourism may not be a viable option for sustainable income.

Science Education
DomSeTCO works to actively monitor and track sea turtle populations in Dominica with the goal of improving the understanding of how sea turtles use Dominica’s beaches and waters.
With this data from real sea turtle movements, DomSeTCO can better participate in regional conservation agreements and can inform community-based turtle watching activities.
All of the research is directly tied to a conservation goal.
Research
DomSeTCO works with Dominica schools to cultivate a holistic ecosystem-approach to science education.
The goal is that this focus on education will inspire Dominica’s residents of all ages to explore the natural world around them, and understand the profound importance of protecting Dominica’s unique ecosystems.

We know that the best conservation work is done together. That’s why we work closely with local partners, ensuring they have what they need to be successful in local marine conservation efforts. Every dollar funds people and programs that protect marine animals and ocean habitats in the Caribbean.
